"Designer Julian Margules has something going on with his electronics. A number of rooms used his electronics at this show, and I noticed excellent musical flow and engagement in all of them. I spoke at length with Julian about his design philosophy, which he calls ANA (Aligned Neuro-Acoustics.) He studies how humans perceive sound. Here is a link to an interesting paper about this work. Margules Audio | FLAX 2024   This was an all-Margules system, and it sounded fantastic. It’s rare in my experience that a system from one brand can truly stand out. Small manufacturers generally specialize, right? Stretching resources to make speakers, amps, and DACs is often a recipe for failure—but not for Mexico City–based Margules. Margules Audio and Raidho | FLAX 2023   The sound in the Margules Audio and Raidho room was simply superb, with powerful bass and potent dynamics. You’ll never hear a more exciting rendition of Henry Mancini’s The Pink Panther than with this amazing gear. There was a time, however, when the Margules Audio room would be a quiet sanctuary, but lately it’s been a rave. Margules I-240 Review Part Time Audiophile   My time with the Margules I-240 is branded with the idea that as time wore on, I liked it more and more. First: “I miss the sound of tube amplifiers like this one.” Second: “It’s not that warm and tubey—it does a lot of other things very well.” Final: “Wow, I’m going to really miss this amp and the wonderful and natural way it sounds. Margules Audio | T. H. E.
